Backstory
A few years ago, we had a group on Facebook. It was very successful in terms of size, as well as the quality and quantity of engagement. We loved it. Everybody loved it. Unfortunately, Facebook and its community standards had a different opinion. Eventually, Facebook shut down the group due to too many violations. We and that community were heartbroken.
Give up? We must not. Move forward? We did.
As some of you may already know, we’ve been working on our own Fire Club app (for iOS and Android). We’re doing this to avoid the conflicts and disappointments of the Facebook iteration. This app is an ambitious and achievable goal. But it’s also not the type of thing that’s going to happen overnight. Arete, as you can imagine, is quality-driven, and great things take time.
Since the Facebook group shut down, numerous people have been persistent in asking for Fire Club to return sooner rather than later. We listened and kept listening.
The app is still being worked on but until then we present to you…
It’s new. It’s improved. It re-establishes our community. And it’s the next step towards our goal to offer a dedicated Fire Club app for our community.
WHAT is Arete Fire Club (AFC)?
It is an online group chat network running on the Discord platform.
