We have been getting this question a lot lately, so it seemed like the perfect time to address it! What’s the difference between Marijuana and Hemp? This is a common question, and the answer is simple! Hemp and marijuana are both cannabis. Yes! That’s right, it is the same plant but with different varieties. To compare to another plant, some roses are red and some are white, but they are all still roses. There is only one differentiator between hemp and marijuana, and that is the legal definition the government has given it. The government says if the plant has less than .3% Delta 9 THC, then it is considered hemp, regardless of the other amount cannabinoids it may have. If cannabis has more than .3% Delta 9 THC, then it is considered marijuana. There are several types of cannabis varieties, here is the breakdown: Type 1 cannabis is mainly composed of THCa and or Delta 9 THC. Arete Hemp’s Type 1 cannabis options include Green Crack, Hippie Crippler, Death Star, Miracle Alien Cookies, Chocolate Kush, and much more! They aren’t limited to Indicas or Sativas, and some of our fan favorites are potent hybrids. 📢 NOTHING FOR SALE ON TWITTER•😉 This post is for educational purposes only!•An Indica dominant hybrid that will send you out of this world! 🪐 Death Star High THCa Hemp Flower is SUPER POTENT, and you won’t want to miss it!•#hemp #hempflower #cbd #cbdflower pic.twitter.com/q6tpNVHwmt — Arete Hemp (@aretehemp) October 16, 2022 Type 2 cannabis is composed of both THCa and CBD, usually between a 1:1 and 4:1 ratio. On their own, Type 3 cannabis strains are potent with lots of variety in flavors and effects. Add in a Type 1, and so many new potential combinations open up! Type 4 cannabis is mainly CBG dominant. Cannabigerol, or CBG, has been called the mother of all cannabinoids. If you have not tried a CBG dominant cannabis strain, there is no better time than now! Readers, we want to hear from you!
